Team Torace surveyed human resource professionals across the country and mentors and mentees in various credentialing programs that matched them as part of the learning experience. We learned that 89% of the mentors and mentees surveyed think it is important that matches align mentor strengths with mentee growth areas but only 19% of districts surveyed reported engaging directly with both mentor teachers and student teachers. Mentors and mentees want more intentional matchmaking but traditionally not much information is collected beyond certification area and grade level.
